Another beautiful moment in the Gravur on Tour exhibition: the finissage in the Glassmuseum of Kamenický Šenov.
I love this place so much – to visit my friends, the museums, the beautiful surroundings – and decided to go for a long weekend.
And just when driving into Česká Kamenice, there were Norbert, Katharine and Mare getting out of the car. It was such a nice coincidence and I was really happy to meet them again.
I was staying in Pension Koňák in Nový Bor. The house is very beautiful, the rooms are nice and homely and Mrs Koňaková takes good care of her guests.
We started the weekend with a dinner in Ajeto. It was a lovely evening. And of course, the food was delicious as always and the wine glasses are so beautiful that you want to drink more wine.
Next day, I met the lovely people from the museum, visited Nový Bor and then it was time to go to the opening.
After the opening by Mrs Helena Braunova, Norbert talked in his lecture about the importance of the open borders. We are lucky to have this chance to travel around Europe, I do hope it will stay that way.
The atmosphere was very nice.
Jiří Tesař was engraving with copperwheels. Amazing…
Upstairs engravers were showing and selling their work, downstairs a friendly band was playing.
Outside we could eat and drink.
Next morning we packed all the works, that would travel with Mare on the schoolbus to Tallinn on tuesday and said byebye to each other.
Mare and I visited Česká Kamenice in the afternoon. I like this town with its beautiful churches and houses, little shops and lovely views.
And then early morning it was time to go home again.
Thank you people from the museum, my old friends and new friends. It was so nice to be here.
